Day 08- An unpopular book you believe should be a Best-Seller
I dont know. I feel like most of the books I read are fairly popular.
I guess…I dunno.
The Host, I thought, was a decent book. Although it’s not the greatest, I think it’s far better than the whole Twilight series, yet people forget about it. It’s what should be popular rather than Twilight…
but overall as a book in the world, it’s really not like the greatest thing ever. I enjoyed it…
They are my childhood and I will always remember getting them at midnight releases and immediately going home and reading them until morning, usually sitting in the living room or playroom because I would have fallen asleep reading them in my bed
Honestly. That has to be the most poorly written, horribly unplanned out book that I have ever had the miss-pleasure to read. Honestly. I understand that the book series is pretty horrible as a whole, but really Stephenie Meyer? THAT is what you come up with to finish off your series?
I didn’t keep up with my other 30 day challenges very well. Maybe this one will be different.
Day 1: Your favorite Book.
I would have to say Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I feel like I’ve explained this a million times. It completes the series in such a perfect way. Tears galore. I will forever love these books. They are my childhood. I will always associate them with happy childhood memories.
I’ll be looking for you, Will, every moment, every single moment. And when we do find each other again, we’ll cling together so tight that nothing and no one’ll ever tear us apart. Every atom of me and every atom of you…We’ll live in birds and flowers and dragonflies and pine trees and in clouds and in those little specks of light you see floating in sunbeams…And when they use our atoms to make new lives, they won’t just be able to take one, they’ll have to take two, one of you and one of me; we’ll be joined so tight…
-The Amber Spyglass
Honestly. This is beautiful. I can only think of four books that have ever made me cry and this is definitely one of them…and on more than one occasion.
Re-reading this as soon as I’m done with my current book series.
“Let me tell you something about Tom Riddle. We were teacher and student in middle school. I know, right? It’s so embarrassing. I don’t even… whatever. So then in eighth grade, I started going out with my first enemy Grindelwald, who was totally gorgeous. But then I had to defeat him, and Tom was like, weirdly jealous of him. Like, if I would blow him off to duel with Grindelwald, he’d be like “Why didn’t you fight me back?”. And I’d be like “Why are you so obsessed with me?”. So then, for my birthday party, which was an all-Muggle sympathisers pool party, I was like “Tom, I can’t invite you because I think you’re Lord Voldemort “. I mean, I couldn’t have a Dark Lord at my party. There were gonna be people there in their muggle clothes. I mean, right? He was the Dark Lord. So then his mom called my mom and started yelling at her, it was so retarded. And then he dropped out of society because no one would talk to his disembodied soul, and he came back in the fall for the second Wizarding War, all of his hair was cut off and he was totally weird, and now I guess he’s got Horcruxes.”—This is absolutely fantastic
Doing another one of these because they keep my occupied

Speech is horrible, as usual, but after that I did some good things.
I ran for the first time in FOREVER…so, proud of that. Mackenzie and Emily came over and watched Glee with me. It was pretty good I guess. Then we watched Pretty Little Liars..it was WONDERFUL. I will straight up love that so a lot. It got me thinking, why don’t I watch everything on ABC family. Those are my kind of show. Really dumb shows that are straight up ridiculous and dramatic and made for 13 year old girls. Why do I love those things? Then we watched Fear. Nicole 4 eva.
Also, a package came in the mail today for my dad and I didnt know what it was until he got home about an hour ago. It was the full box set of Harry Potter books 1-7. I was so excited. He bought them on his own accord to read them (even though we’ve been telling him to read them for 10 years) but better late than never.
Day 8: What do you think would be your favorite lesson?
This took me a while, and as usual I sort of picked more than one.
I think my favorite would be Defense Against the Dark Arts because that is straight up badass. I feel like it would be the most useful in everyday life. I would feel safer walking around knowing how to defend myself. The only problem is most of the teachers are crazy or trying to kill Harry or whatever…but still. It would teach useful skills.
Also, care of magical creatures would be fun because I feel like it would sort of be a blowoff class where I can hang out with Hagrid and be outside. But he also brings crazy creepy animals that I would straight up REFUSE to get near. I cant even deal with roaches, there’s no way I would deal with crazy gross magical animals.
